Yarns

  • Superwash Merino
This worsted wt. yarn feels so good, you know it's Merino. The surprise is that it's also machine-washable and dryable! In a review in Knitters' magazine, the writer picked this yarn as her favorite among more than a dozen Superwash yarns. Approx. 4 & 8 oz, 280 & 560 yd skeins.
Sweater: 2-3 sk                 Needles: 7 to 9           Retail: $15 & 25

  • Montana Wool
A good, sturdy wool yarn which wears well and is suitable for felting. Montana wool is a worsted wt yarn which comes in skeins approx. 8 oz & 560 yds.

  • Mohair & Merino
A very versatile yarn! Although it is a worsted weight, I have seen it knit anywhere from 4 to 6 stitches per inch. Mohair gives this yarn a nice luster and helps it to wear well. This smooth yarn is a blend of 55% Mohair and 45% Merino wool. Skeins are approx. 8 oz & 490 yards.

Sweater: 2-3 sk                  Needles: 5 to 9                Retail: $25

Thick & Thin

This is a fun yarn that looks like handspun and knits up quickly!  It has a smooth, thick and thin texture. A bulky 100% wool yarn in skeins approx. 8 oz & 125 yds.
Sweater: 4-6 skeins           Needles: 11 to 15               Retail: $25

  • Welsh Wool
One of my favorite yarns. It is nice on its own or mixed with other yarns to add interest. I especially like it's thick & thin beaded texture knit with mohair. Made with a long, lustrous wool that wears well, it comes in skeins approx. 8 oz & 154 yards. (96% wool/ 4% nylon)

Sweater: 4-5 sk                  Needles: 11 to 15              Retail: $30

  • Arabesque
I love this yarn! The wool twirls around  and around  a nylon thread  - it's great by itself or combined with other yarns - makes great trim. A faux chenille guaranteed not to worm! Skeins are approx. 8 oz & 195 yds. (Bulky, 97% Wool, 3% Nylon)
Sweater: 4-5 skeins             Needles: 9 to 11               Retail: $30

  • Loopy Wool & Mohair
This is a yarn which is nice on it's own and also with other yarns to add interest. It is a bulky wt. boucle that is lighter than Loopy Lincoln & heavier than Loopy Mohair. The yardage is great for the price - almost 700 yards per 14 oz skein. (56% Mohair, 39% Wool, 9% Nylon)

Sweater: 2 skeins                  Needles: 9 to 11           Retail: $30

  • Loopy Mohair
This is a big skein of a soft, light mohair boucle. Great texture. An especially nice, fine mohair which  will look better the more you wear it! Each skein is enough for a sweater, knit quickly on BIG needles! Skeins are approx. 14 oz & 860 yds. (78% Mohair,13% Wool, 9% Nylon)

Sweater: 1 skein                  Needles: 9 to 11             Retail: $75

  • Brushed Mohair
This brushed mohair is especially nice. Many knitters have told me this is the softest mohair they have knitted.  Skeins are approx. 16 oz and 980 yards. (78% Mohair, 13% Wool, 9% Nylon) Also avail. with a strand of glitter.

Sweater: 1 skein   Needles: 9 to 11   Retail: $75, with glitter-$90
